“The work consists of visions from an imaginary botanical record. Painting with oil on copper, I combine visual strategies from the past with surreal overtones arising out of the unconscious. The viewer is immersed in the secret world of flowers, plants and insects on the brink of extinction. Images are jewels and vestiges that merge into a referential menagerie of natural signage resonating with our own legends of survival, both physical and psychological.”
